NBR: finally took the plunge

While looking at minivans today, we found an awesome deal, so we ended up buying it today.  It's a 2008 Honda Odyssey with only 26,000 miles.  The low miles really sold us and made us stop looking.  Some people are very anti-minivan (my DH included) but I am really excited.  Thanks for your suggestions. 

 I think we're going to love it.  Mady already likes sitting up higher so she can see out the window.  It's like a whole new world for her.

We're buying a used Odyssey in Feb :-)  I think it's a really practical car, it isn't bad looking, and to be honest it really is fun to drive.

Haha!  My DH was seriously the same way.  It's sad that he thinks his image is ruined by getting a minivan.  I was close to caving into a SUV until he decided that getting a minivan this time around when our kid(s) are really young might not be a bad idea.

Emma loved being able to see out the window when we got ours.  I love my minivan.  DH and I were just talking about how we would get one more and then we would a large SUV when the kids were old enough to get in and out on their own.  I am only 5'3" so the minivan really helps with being able to maneuver her in her seat.

I need to put this on my short list ...we will be looking this summer for a new car/mini van/suv for DH ...I'm hoping to talk him into a mini van - just makes more sense all around!
