Moms who have blogs: do you do this?

K is constantly in her underwear at home, and so she's underwear-clad in practically every photo and video I have of her.  My blog doesn't show up on google results, so you have to have the link to get to it, but it's not private/password-protected, either.  I feel a little weird about putting pics and video like that on my blog, more because maybe people see it as TMI than because I think some weirdo will happen upon it.  Then again, I'm not about to stage photos for the sake of my blog, and hate to leave K out of the blog due to her aversion to clothing!

Do/would you put pics of your preschooler or toddler in just a diaper or underwear on your blog?  Do/would you think it's weird if you saw such pics on someone else's blog?

Re: Moms who have blogs: do you do this?

  • I don't have a blog but wanted to comment that Joey and Cam strip down to their underwear w/in minutes of being home.  It irritates the crap out of Joe and his mom/gram.  I don't see an issue w/it although have begun to wonder why they seem to have SUCH an aversion to clothes. I mean, LITERALLY, win minutes of getting home - they strip?!?!

And I can't answer your question (man, I'm a lot of help!) b/c I'm not sure if I would think it was weird or not.  I would have to be in that situation to answer.  My gut says no but then when I stop and think about it, seeing a 5 year old girl with just her underwear on MIGHT strike me as odd (even though, like I mentioned, I live with two nudists)!?!?!

  • yes, but mine is set by invite only /private and that it cannot be searched for.

you can always crop where you can. use picnik.com to edit.  but I really don't see a huge difference between showing picks of a toddler/preschooler in underwear vs a bathing suit.

This is Keira, too.  One night, I told her she had to wear pajamas to bed because it was too cold to sleep in her underwear, and she came UNGLUED.  Like nothing I've ever seen before.  When we walk through the front door, her clothes are off before I set down my purse.  It's crazy...but kind of funny.

  • E is also naked all the time, can't keep clothes on the girl, and she sleeps naked too. It is a battle i refuse to fight. That being said, no I am not comfortable posting pictures of her not fully dressed on our blog.
  • Sorry I'm not answering your question, but I just think it's so funny that your DC's strip once they get home and they sleep naked?!  My dd would never think to sleep nekkid.  So funny how kids are different.

  • My blog is public, so no, I don't post any pictures of E if he's not fully clothed (or in a bathing suit if its a beach picture).  When he was a tiny baby, I did post pics of him in the tub as long as his body was obscured under bubbles.  But now I think he's too old not to be mortified later on in life when/if he sees the blog. As he gets older, I'm a lot more conscious of his privacy and how he might feel about what I"m writing about him. Kind of a bummer to give up that freedom of writing about whatever I want. LOL
  • Honestly I think she is getting a little old for it and your blog is pretty public since it is linked here.  I would not be appalled or anything but would rather at this age that they start to learn about privacy.
