I overanalyze everything, so every twinge and movement I am thinking to myself, could this mean something?! I am not convinced LO will come by Thursday, I don't really think I have experienced any of the things that everyone else is talking about on here. I had the option for an internal at my appt last week, but decided against it because I didn't want to dwell on numbers. Still the anticipation of not knowing when is killing me!

Congrats to everyone who has had their babies, and good luck to those who are still waiting for the big moment like me... I feel like we are in the minority at this point!

I'm due this Thursday as well! I'm so anxious..and it doesn't seem like he will arrive anytime soon...but here is to hoping it won't be much longer for either of us! Good luck!

Another one here due on Thursday/Friday to help you feel like you are not alone.  I had early labor all day last Thursday but by Friday it slowed down and by Saturday it had completely stopped *and* I developed a horrendous sinus cold.  I think baby knows that his mommy is sick and is waiting until she feels a little better to come out

My MW doesn't do internals until you are in active labor - and like you, I actually like it that way b/c I would dwell on the "numbers" even though I know they don't mean anything.  I have had so many patients who walk around for 2 weeks at 2 or 3cm dilation, and others who are at 0 and go into labor the next day.

I'm due this Thursday, too, and even though I'm not overdue yet the wait is killing me! I'm kind of impatient to begin with, but everyone has been telling me the baby has dropped for weeks and that they think I'm going to go into labor early, so I guess I let that sink in too much and am now surprised to be pregnant with no signs of him coming at all. I have a dr's appointment tomorrow and am going to beg for an internal!

OMG, i feel like i psyched myself out a little too thinking he would come early. My mom had 4 kids and all of us were early, so in my head, I figured I would follow in her footsteps! From what I remember and what my dad tells me, everything else has been very similar to her experiences! Times like this I miss her the most, she would have loved every minute of this stuff.

I did the same thing!! All of the women on my mom's side of the fam have never gone past 36-38 weeks pregnant. My mom actually had my bro at 31 wks (which I know is way too early) and then had me at 37 wks. I NEVER thought I'd see a day past 37 weeks. But here I sit 9 days from my due date and no dilation or effacement as of last Tuesday. I should've never psyched myself out like that.
