something i was wondering: my family is buddhist and at my mom's sangha (the equivalent of church) every week they do a practice of sending metta (the buddhist equivalent of prayer) to people going through a tough time. i was thinking of asking them to send metta to kate and your family, but i wanted to ask you first. i don't know what your religion is and i TOTALLY understand if you would only want prayers from your own religious group, or if you feel weird about strangers hearing about kate. please let me know if this would be okay, and if so, if you'd like me to use kate's name or keep it anonymous.

again, i will totally not be offended if you're not comfortable with this, so please feel free to say "no" if you're not 100% comfortable!!

    You are so sweet to think of us.  We would love any extra thoughts/ prayers we could get.  But, at this time I think we might prefer if it be anonymous.
