I know it's only been a year, but I don't remember Stella having a wakeful period so I'm looking to you guys for some help.
Hadley used to be the best sleeper! Starting around 6 weeks (maybe sooner) she would only wake once a night to eat around 4am and then would sleep in until 6am-7am. This was also when she was in our room in the co-sleeper.
She's been sharing a room with Stella for over a month now. Lately, she's been getting up 4 (sometimes more) times a night and it's killing us. We take turns, but it's still taking it's tole on our sleep. She has been eating between 12-18 oz. in the middle of the night. This seems like a lot to me. Is this normal? Just a crazy growth spurt?
She's not waking due to noise Stella is making. Stella is a very sound and quiet sleeper. I wonder if it's cause the crib is so much bigger than the co-sleeper and she just gets freaked out. I really have no idea! Is there really such thing as a 4 month wakeful period? I just hope this ends soon cause mama is really tired!
Re: 4 Month Wakeful?
Reed was an amazing sleeper but not until at least 6-7 months old...Penny woke up to eat every 3 hours until she was like 11 months old! I thought we would never get sleep! annnnd she was in our room!
I don't have any ideas but I hope she starts sleeping better soon! Lots of people refer to the 4 month wakeful, but then in my family it is common to start teething at that age too.
Ugh...it's brutal! I hope it's over soon. Luckily, she is really easy to get back down again. Stella didn't get teeth until 10.5 months, but maybe Hadley is starting sooner. She has been sticking her hands in her mouth a ton. I also wonder if maybe she's just really hungry. I think I'll start her on food once she's 5 months old and hopefully that will help too!
Because we're fancy like that.
I'm not opposed to trying Ferber, just not sure how to do it since Hadley shares a room with Stella. We usually race right in there when she starts to make noise cause I don't want her waking up her sister. These are the times when it's hard for them to share a room.
