DH and I have been bd-ing since Friday. I was expected to ovulate yesterday. Its only our 2nd month trying, so I am only going by counting days and CM (spare me the lecture, I'm still new-ish and will do those later if needbe). CM didnt change yesterday so I was thinking ovulation didnt happen. After checking my CM just now, its starting to get more EW-ish. hooray! However, it was tinged with blood. Not AF-like blood, as for me that is usually more of a thick brownish red color. This was blood. Not a lot, but I'm worried. Anyone have any idea what this could be? Theres no possible way its implantation with the cycles ive been having lately. Is it possible i got injured during the last three days' BD-ing? Other thoughts?

O spotting, irritation from all the sex? I don't know.

It could be bleeding from an irritated cervix.  It could be random spotting.

As the general rule of thumb, the addition of EWCM means that ovulation is coming...not that you've already done that.  But I'll leave out that you don't really know what's going on with the cycle.

Only time will tell

This. Or irritation of the cervix from sex is my guess.

I agree with Alison that it could be ovulation spotting. I've never experienced it, but I've heard of it. It is also possible the you irritated your cervix during sex.

Either way, I don't think you need to worry too much about it. Good luck!

I just read about this in TCOYF...it's possible for fertile CM to be tinged with color (I believe brown, pink or red).

If you haven't read it already, it's an easy read & SO helpful. I learned a lot. Good luck!

I had it for the first time last cycle.  Only a couple of time when I wiped and then it was gone.

I've always read that Egg White CM with a bit of blood mixed in is the most fertile type of CM.  This is a sign that you are ovulating.  I would get at it girl!  Get in at least one more round of baby making tonight!

that was going to be my next question! How much more baby making? Just tonight? Tonight and Tomorrow if Cm continues? What do you all think?

I have always heard that it is best to have sex the days leading up to Ovulation so you have already done a good job but I would keep going tonight and tomorrow and once on Wednesday for good measure.  That is just me though.  But for sure have sex tonight!

Not going to lecture, promise, but if you chart your temps you should keep having sex while you see fertile CM until your temperature rises.

I would have sex until the EWCM (egg white cervical mucus) dries up...maybe every other day if it lasts a while? As I've charted I've noticed that I ovulate at different days throughout my cycle (CD 17, 19, 21, etc)...and I also see EWCM for several days. Temps are the only thing that can show you've ovulated - after the fact though.
