So I don't get a lot of holidays at work. DH does. I always used to be jealous. Not today. ![]()
Will got sent home from daycare on Friday with a fever - RSV was going around and we suspected that is what he has/had. It's tough to tell if he is better. We think the fever has gone down, but he's still really sad/whiny and cries a lot. That may also be teething. I have no idea how to tell the difference! But that's not the point of this story...
So DH has today off and since Will isn't 100%, he is staying home with daddy. DH just called me because he attempted to take Will's temperature (he's afraid of the rectal thermometer, so this was a big moment for him) and of course he stirred up some activity down there! Poop-splosion!! I think DH is scarred for life. ![]()
What's worse is that once he cleaned everything up, and even after Will pooped on him a second time (yikes), it turns out that our thermometer died. It's a POS - almost literally.
So does anyone have an infant thermometer that they like/can recommend?
Thanks!!
Re: Poor DH, covered in poop - also, can you recommend your thermometer?
We have a temporal artery thermometer and I really like it. You can get it at Target, Costco, Amazon, etc.

This is the one I was describing. I have this exact one.
aww..poor will! (and poor DH!! lol!) We have the temporal artery one too, but I feel like a dummy and I feel like it doesn't work right...I'm going to make a post about it now, asking for help. Anyways..it seems like a great idea, but i'm not convinced of how accruate it is.
Thanks everyone! Shortly after I posted this, Will's favorite daycare teacher called to check in on him and when I mentioned the thermometer failure, she recommended the exact same one! Too funny.
Of course, I sent DH to BRU to buy it and they were out of stock...
