LO has her first diaper rash so I have her in disposables and a tonne of cream the last few days. How long should it take to go away before I consult the Dr. to see if it is yeast?
also if its yeast it just looks different...if it is jsut a little red its probably jsut a rash, when DS had yeast it looked more like a sore and it wasn't all over the diaper area.
you can google mild yeast rash to see a picture. When DS had yeast we bleached all our diapers and put lotromin (how ever you spell it ha) on him for a few days and it was gone.

Just did a google image search... there are some hideous photos out there - ick! Still not sure which it is. It doesn't seem to be bothering her much so I think I'll give it a couple more days and see what happens.
I've been using Penaten, just becuase that is what I happend to have on hand. This is day 4 maybe 5.
If DD was on Day 4 or 5 of a rash, I'd be trying something else and/or calling the dr.
Sounds like a plan, I just called an their line was busy (as usual) but will keep at it and/or pick up another cream depending on what they say. Thanks - its great to get another opinion when your new to this.

We're also having rash issues. You need to up the naked time. That should help no matter what type of rash. Then, call the doc by at least a week if it's not gone. They are having us use yeast treatments, but honestly, I'm starting to suspect it is actually a detergent issue. I think I've been using too much!

Thanks again all, we are going into see the Doc at 1 today. I'll let you know how it turns out and if it is yeast I'll be back with lots of How to Bleach questions :-)
