DH found the name Decker today and likes it. What do you think? I'm not sure; it makes me think of someone that makes decks.

I see two strikes against it - someone who hits people (aka 'decks') and it rhymes with pecker. I wonder if it's someones take on Dexter.

It's not terrible, as far as these kinds of names go, but it sounds like it's "Dexter" with a lisp.

Becker, maybe. But definitely not Decker. Too many potentially bad nicknames like pp's mentioned - Pecker.

I think of buses too, unfortunately.

Although, it'll be easy to pronounce and spell correctly. I know someone IRL that used this name but spelled it Dekker and I think that's much, much worse.
