Financing IVF

For our first IVF we used the capital one healthcare loan and had 2% for our interest rate.  Apparently capital one doesn't do that anymore.  So now what are our options?  I know my clinic works with ARC but there is not real financial info on their website, no actual numbers.  Anyone finance through ARC?  We are looking at the One Cycle Plus option but I'm wondering what kind of interest rate we would have with that.  Please share how you finance IVF cycles.

Re: Financing IVF

  • I don't know anything about financing, we paid cash for our IVF cycle.

Does your clinic offer any packages? Shared Risk programs?

  • We paid upfront for ours as well, but have you consulted with a financial planner?  They would be able to find all the loans that would help you.

  • I took a withdrawal from my retirement. Sine our medical expenses will exceed 7.5 percent of our income there were no penalties.

  • I found a credit card with 0% interest on balance transfers for 24 months.  So just charged the IVF cycle last Friday on our normal credit card and then doing the balance transfer here in a month when my cc payment is due.

  • We are also 100% OOP! We paid 1/2 cash with our first IVF & put the rest on a 0% interest credit card. Will be done paying that balance off before IVF #2 in March. To pay for #2 we will pay 1/2 with our tax refund & put the rest of the balance on another 0% interest credit card & will pay that balance off before the 12 mos of no interest is up.
  • Your interest rate with ARC will be based on upon your credit score.  The better your credit, the better your interest rate.

  • we just used Springstone Financial for some of our costs, interest rate wasn't great but I didn't want to open another card and the rate was lower than our lowest rate card. it's for 24 months but they have longer plans. good luck!
  • We were lucky and got a 0% interest credit card for a year. We plan on having it paid off w/in the year.
After 3 years of infertility we were blessed with twin girls through private infant adoption.
