Recipe Swap!

I'm trying to plan out menus for the week so I can get my grocery list together, and I'm feeling terribly uninspired. So help a sister out, give me your favorite recipe... and maybe get some ideas of your own!

Re: Recipe Swap!

  • MAN! I could have used this post last night when I could not figure out what to cook for the weekend!!! Tonight I am doing a REALLY simple beef stew in my crock pot

    1 Can Beef Broth

2 Cans Campbells Cream of mushroom

1 Packet of Onion soup/dip mix (Liptons is good)

2 pounds Stew beef (1 pound if you like more veggies than meat)

2 Cans whole potatoes (I cut each one into like three pieces)

Bake some big biscuits for dipping!!

Then I either do a can of green beans, can of carrots, and a can of corn, or like tonight I bought them all fresh and chopped them up. About 8 hours in the crock pot on low, untouched, and you are good to go!!

    1   egg, beaten
1 jar (24 oz.) spaghetti sauce
    1 cup  water
    12 lasagna noodles, uncooked

    Make It

    HEAT oven to 350?F.

BROWN meat in large skillet on medium-high heat. Meanwhile, mix 1-1/4 cups mozzarella, ricotta cheese, 1/4 cup Parmesan, parsley and egg until well blended; set aside.

DRAIN meat; return to skillet. Stir in spaghetti sauce. Add 1 cup water to empty sauce jar; cover with lid and shake well. Add to meat mixture; stir until well blended. Spread 1 cup meat sauce onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish; top with layers of 3 lasagna noodles, 1/3 of the ricotta cheese mixture and 1 cup meat sauce. Repeat layers twice. Top with remaining noodles, meat sauce and cheeses. Cover with greased foil.

BAKE 1 hour or until heated through, removing foil after 45 min. Let stand 15 min. before cutting to serve.

  • This isn't fancy, but it's quick and easy. Oh, and super good!

    RJ's

    1lb gr beef

    1 package pita pockets

    1 tomato

    1 cucumber

    handful of green onions

    ranch dressing

Brown 1lb of ground beef, drain.  Cut off tops of pita bread and open them up to make pockets. Spoon in a little ground beef, add cut up veggies, top with ranch dressing. You can add seasoning to the beef, or even substitute diced up chicken. It's a go to meal for us when we don't have a lot of time and don't want a lot of mess to clean up!

  • a friend taught us to make this so we call it "ruth chicken" in honor of her.

     Ruth Chicken

    All you need is

Taco seasoning(1 packet)(i prefer taco bell brand chipotle taco seasoning)

    Lime Juice(of 1 lime)

    Mayo(enough to spread over chicken)

    Boneless skinless Chicken Breast

-Mix the  First three ingredients and spead over chicken bake until chicken is done and enjoy, its sounds odd but its amazing!!

  • This one isn't super fancy, but a big hit in my house, I actually make this in my toaster oven, and make popovers in my big oven, with some garlic sauteed green beans

    https://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/stove-top-stuffed-chicken-57641.aspx

and this one is yummy too,

I crush up stovetop stuffing and dip my porkchops in an egg wash then the stuffing.

bake at 375 in a greased dish for 10 minutes, flip and then bake for another 10 minutes...Juicy and crunchy

this is really easy and YUMMY! I make it on a night I don't want to be in the kitchen too long and I know it sounds gross,  but everyone who has tried it has loved it

    Cheeseburger in a bowl:

    1 lb of ground beef

bag of shredded cheddar (we use a lot)

    Elbow pasta (or any shape)

    ketchup

    mustard

    brown the beef

    boil the pasta

    mix all ingredients together!

It almost tastes like hamburger helper and I promise it's not overpowered by the ketchup and mustard as long as you don't use the whole bottle- just use enough to moisten and mixes easy
