  • I am soo sorry :(

I can't imagine how badly you want to move on and having constant reminders from your body is just terrible punishment.  I'll think of you.

  • The same thing happened to me.  Wear a tight sports bra and try and put ice on them 4 times a day for about 10-15 minutes.  It would be nice if the hospitals would tell us to expect this.  For me it got better after about a week.  Oh and DONT let the hot water in the shower run over your breasts.  Hang in there.
  • As PP said, the same thing happened to me. My milk came in 3 weeks after I lost my triplets. It's horrible. I'm so sorry this is happening to you. My milk is still here, and has been since thanksgiving, just keep trying not to touch them and wearing a tight bra.

  • My D&E was last week and my milk started to come in Friday night.  My boobs are hard as a rock, and it's so emotionally tough because there's supposed to be a baby to nurse when this happens :(  I hope it gets a little better by the time I go to work tomorrow.

It certainly does add insult to injury.  I wore two sports bras (one over the other), used ice packs.  I actually wore a sports bra in the shower for about a week and did not let the hot water hit my chest.  I took some extra Vit B6 (25 mg tabs). My situation improved signficantly after about 5 days and was resolved within about a week.  Hope this helps.
