So we signed Dylan up to the Gymboree classes this month (which we love) and we got a spend $50 and get $25 off Gymbucks for paying for his class. We went and spent about $75 worth of stuff so we paid $50. Well most of the stuff just doesn't fit him right and I'm not loving the clothes for how much we spent. I called to find out if I return everything if I will get my Gymbucks back. Nope they said they will return it but I don't get it back. I mean I did spend the money to earn that kwim?
Plus if I were to return just a few of the items that I know won't fit him correctly they take a little bit out of each item instead of just $50 worth of stuff so I won't get the full amount that exceeded the $50. Mostly I am upset about the Gymbucks. I was gonna still use it or pass it along to someone else and now they won't return it!
Re: Gymboree store sucks
I went to Gymboree a time or two but honestly I prefer Target or Gap. Gymboree is way way overpriced for their clothes and their sales aren't even that good of sales. The few things that I have of DD's just do not fit great or get a hole in them really quickly. I am just not a fan. Those Gymbucks are just another way for you to buy more. I fell for it one time but after that no more.I don't like a lot of their styles either...too cutesy (with panda bears and stuff) and not enough of basic mix and match items.
Also my pet peeve with outlets vs regular retail stores irritate me to no end. But that doesn't just have to do with Gymboree only. I just hate how you can only use certain coupons at a Gymboree outlet and not at a regular store...or online only. So freaking irritating.
This 100%
Sorry, I meant Gymboree's policy is far too complicated, not your rundown
Oh yeah I assumed that still sucks. Plus when I called the store to ask about it I got hung up on twice! I am just a cheapie with Dylan's clothes and have always been happy with Target and such. Guess from now on be on the look out I will be passing along my Gymbucks!
We actually have good luck with Gymboree clothes. E must have a weird body shape b/c Target clothes do not fit right at all.
But yeah, that sucks nothing worked out for you.
Dylan I think is just too short for Gymboree cloths and he's on the small side. I bought a 6-12 cardigan for him and he was swimming in it! lol Though I did find a cute hat that I will be keeping : )
yeah, that's the way any program like that works. you don't get to have free money/discounts and then get full price back if you return stuff.
I love gymboree though!!
Hmmm.. Eliana is super tiny (16lbs) and she's in 6-12 months. That's odd!
At LEAST you got a cute hat out of it. We just joined Gymboree this month too. So far E likes it. How many kids are in your class?
Maybe boy clothes other than onsies are made to fit looser than girl clothes kwim? Cause Dylan is 18 lbs. Odd
His class is at capacity so a lot lol. It's fun though and since I SAH Dylan has never really been around other babies his age. He was overwhelmed at first but now he loves it! Plus I think it's helping him want to start crawling. What about E's class?
We go to a Friday (during the day) class and it's pretty wild. There's a ton of kids and the teacher is super "perky!" We went to a Wednesday night class and it was way more my pace. There were only about 8 kids or so.
We used to go to Kindermusik classes and they were small (always under 10 babies). I like Gymboree though because it's more physical and my kid has lots of energy to burn!
I think that's why the clothes don't fit on Sam too well either...she is short too. She has the pj's that fir her so good now...perfectly and they are Gymboree 6-12 months. Honestly though that one sleeper s the only thing that I think that has looked good and fit well on her. I bought some cotton stretchy pants in 6-12 months and the waist is all sorts of stretched out and weird and I didn't do anything to them. I always wash my clothes on the right temperature and exactly to the laundry instructions. I had some other stretchy pants that got a whole in the crotch after just a few times of wearing it and they were for DD when she 3-6 months. How much does a 3-6 month old move?
