I just finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series. I also liked Outlander, Sookie Stackhouse, Anita Blake, Sue Graftons letter series (I am totally blanking on the characters name). Those are the only ones I can think of now.
Have any other recommendations for me?

Re: Need new book recs

I loved Water for Elephants.
I recently started a Robin Cook book because I loved him a long time ago (say like middle school) and had to quit reading it because it was so bad!

Jodie Picoult is always a winner at my house.
This is what I was going to suggest! I loved this series and it is a very easy quick read.
LOVE!!!!!
This is next on my list!
1. The Book Theif- Marcus Zusak
2. I am the Messenger- Marcus Zusak
3. Anything by Elizabeth Berg- I am currently reading When I Last Saw you.
4. I second the Hunger Games Trilogy ( although I did not like any of the other 2 nearly as much as Iiked The Hunger Games).
5. Freedom by Jonathan Franzen- It is my next up, so I have not read it, but just ask any book club in America and they will give you the thumbs up.
6. For Non-fiction- I am also currently reading Colombine - I know that is not everyone's cup of tea.
7. We Need To Talk About Kevin- Lionel Shriver. This one came out a few years ago- but it is chilling and BEAUTIFULLY written.
8. I liked The Help- Kathryn Stockett
9. If you are at all into YA fiction- I love the novel Artichoke's Heart by Suzanne Suplee- great story, again- great writing style. If you are at all into YA ( which a lot of adults are)there is some great literature out there- I can give you TONS of recs.
