I'm bundling him up and putting him out in the yard.
It's ridiculous. Every weekend he refuses to take naps - is it because Daddy's home??? He gets progressively crabby as the days go on and Mondays are a real joy. We really look forward to the weekends but really - there is no weekend for me anymore. It's worse than a regular day. ![]()
Re: If he doesn't go to sleep...
I would second the car ride suggestion as an option. I know that you don't want to get into that habit long term, but for now. . . How far from your daily, normal schedule do you stray on weekends? Or, is it, simply, Daddy's presence? Can you wear him? Might that help? Otherwise, let me know when you plan to put him out in the yard, I'll be right over! I do hope fussy britches gets a nap soon!
Good news - he gets to stay! He decided to sleep afterall. We got to be alone! He's going to wake up happy!
We don't have a smart phone but I have the white noise machine in his room. He will fall asleep in the car but he wakes up the second you take him out. It's really strange. During the week his morning nap is never a problem - he always goes right to sleep. When we're home for an afternoon one that can be iffy. But on the weekend he just doesn't want the morning nap even when he's rubbing his eyes and is sooo sleepy. I really think he just doesn't want to let Dad go. They have such a good time in the morning. But last weekend he really wore himself out so we vowed to make sure that doesn't happen anymore.
AND I was able to find this beer we used to drink on vacation in VT. We've never been able to get it here. I'm going to thaw some precious milk for this evening and enjoy a few. Rested baby+tipsy wife=happy husband. lol Have a great weekend everyone!!!!
