I am pretty sure I can't do a VBAC, even though I would prefer it. I had an awful emergency csection with DD. I was in labor for 2 days, pushed and got her head stuck. When the dr used the forceps, she pulled me down the table and the head didn't budge. Her heart had stopped (internal monitor). There was no time for more pain meds so I felt the csection.
Anyway, I have scoliosis, an "s" curve. You cant see when you look at me, but my x-rays show a significant curve. The curve by my pelvis is bad and the spine is twisted. I'm wondering if a head just can't pass through. Also wondering if I felt the csection as much as I did because the epidural didn't go all the way down. Anyone also have scoliosis?
Re: Anyone have scoliosis?
You know, I always have back pain and my chiropractor sent me for xrays. It turned out that I have scoliosis also (though you'd never know by looking). My spine is twisted also but the chiropractor helps and it has been improving.
My CS was due to DS's heart rate going down and not recovering. He was turned funny and large (over 10 lbs) and they thought he might have been having trouble getting himself turned in the right position.
I successfully VBACed, if that means anything. I tried to have an epi toward the end because of the pitocen but it didn't work. Not sure if that was just the anesthesiologist being a jerk, but whatever;-)
