Intro...

I just wanted to intro myself. Not really sure if this board has regulars or not, but I come and lurk sometimes.

I'm morbidly obese, never been pregnant, but want to become a mother. I am married and have 2 basset hounds and 1 cat.... I tend to be eco-friendly. I've been making healthy choices a little over time. My journey started around 2005 when I first started adding organic foods (very few) to my diet. I didn't make drastic changes but that is where I feel my changing started.

Right now I am using myfitnesspal.com, fertilityfriend.com, work out at the YMCA (trying for every other day as I ease into it-- walking, swimming, elliptical), and eat approx 85-90% organically. I am trying to use nutrient dense foods and get all my appropriate nutritional intake while limiting my calories. I have a dietitian to guide me and help with my food choices.

I feel horrible about the way I used to live my life as far as the choices I made for eating and exercise (or not). It is a struggle for me to stay positive because I have so very far to go in order to reach my goals, but I do have a good support system and the tools to do it. I really need to be accountable for myself. That helps.

Anyway, I don't know if anyone else is like me or not. It doesn't matter. I would like to make some new friends or at the very least, some other ideas or tips for exercise, eating (recipes?, snack ideas?), or motivation. 

No real questions, but I am glad this board is here. Big Smile
