Im a new mommie and was wondering if there are like little groups of mommies and there babies that get together?

    Check Meetup.com.

    When I lived in the city I was part of a great group. They had stuff going on almost daily (play date, museum meet ups, lunches out, mom's night out etc).

    The mom's group I belong to is also from meetup.    

    I have heard others on this board mention that their local churches have mom's group - just another place that you may look into.

    Definitely join the NPN parent's network.  It's a great resource with a community message board and lots of activities.  You can find a playgroup there, as there is lots of them.  I also joined Meetup.com which is good as well.
