Gross poop

Hi, sorry about the unpleasant title! Gracie has been having "hummus" like poop for 2 days. She has no fever but just doesn't seem like herself. I don't think it's milk because she has been on it for a month. Any ideas? I plan on calling the dr. if it doesn't clear up soon. Thanks!

Re: Gross poop

  • Is she teething?  Lots of drool?

That can totally affect the poop's consistency. Aaron had that before his horrible diaper rash so I think it's a good idea to call the doctor if this doesn't clear up over the weekend (if you're willing to wait that long).

  • Might be a virus...DS had some runny poo for several days last (5 or so) week.  He never seemed sick otherwise but it was stinky-yucky stuff and not his typically poo.  I hate that I am talking about poopIck!
  • Margaux gets hummus poop sometimes *makes note to toss the hummus in the fridge* but it doesn't seem to bother her.  I vote teeth, it seems to show up around the same time as a new pointy.

  • Orchid has been having the same issue for days now too. She seems fine otherwise, but they kicked her out of daycare until it is over. :( It is the most vile stuff ever - really! She is my fifth and I have never come so close to vomiting whilst changing a diaper before this week! I was seriously dry heaving!!!! I am waiting until after the weekend to call the doc, like Robyn said.
