So I did that first shot of Menopur last night and whoever wtote me yesterday saying it would burn was not kidding...AT ALL! Holy Crap that burned for a while and I forgot to ice my tummy first so tonight I will for sure! I took the cap off the needle and DH looked like he was going to faint. I started to get a little teary eyed but just did it and it was done. Thanks for the heads up yesterday ladies. I thought of you while I was preparing myself! Awww your my rocks

Sorry it burned and thanks for the headsup for when I have to do injectables!!
GL with your cycle!!
I've given myself Ovidrel, Gonal F, and Menopur--Menopur DEFINITELY burns going in. Like liquid fire. The good part about it though is it's over super quick, plus it makes my Ovidrel trigger shots a piece of cake in comparison!
My DH is like yours--Even if he's just walking by as I'm prepping my shot, he'll say something like, "It makes me nervous just watching you get it ready..." and he'll go in the other room! (Which is odd b/c he gave me my first at-home shot ever, and he seemed fine with it then.)
Good luck with the rest of your shots! (I never iced, by the way...I figured the burn was over so fast it wasn't worth the time to ice my stomach first but hopefully that helps if you do it!)

Does icing it really help? Someone told me that the coldness of your skin wont let the medicine distribute evenly or correctly so she told me not to ice it. Anyone else have this experience or feel its better to ice it?
Sorry it burned
Best of luck for the rest of your cycle!
