How old for Sesame Street show at Reliant?

DS will be 2 in March.  DH sent me a link of the SS show at Reliant.  He LOVES SS and Elmo, etc., so I think he will enjoy it, but do you think a 2 y/o would sit there long enough for the entire show?  Don't really want to waste our money if he will be bored after 20 min.

Example: The SS show changes to different skits frequently, so it keeps his attention.  We got a DVD that was a SS movie - and he zones out after awhile on that, since there is more of a "plot" and you really probably have to understand what everyone is saying to stay interested to what is going to happen next.

Has anyone been to the SS "shows"?  Are they pretty fast paced or a slow plotline?  TIA!

  • Fast paced, lots of singing and dancing, etc. We took DS at 19 months and we had no problem keeping his attention on the show. He was entertained the entire time and loved it.
  • We took ds last year and he was about 16 or 17 months, I wish I would have waited until he was a little older, it kept his attention but I think he would have had more fun closer to 2 or maybe now at 2-1/2.

  • It is totally worth it.  We've taken DS several times and he always loves it.  Lots of singing and movement and it keeps him very interested.

  • We took Kendall to her first live show like that (Backyardigans) right before age2 and she LOVED it!

OMG, CMK - when did you get a big (as in older - she is obviously not "big"!) girl on your hands?  She looks so grown up!

I KNOW! CryingCryingCrying It's sooooo bittersweet! Watch out, it'll happen to you, too!

The other day I said that I wished she didn't have to grow up...and she said "Moooom, that's just how numbers go!" LOL I guess she's got a point! But goodness, the time really does just FLY!
