Would you...

consider broccoli cheese rice a vegetable? I'm having a really nauseous day, nice seeing as today is also 20 weeks! Will the morning sickness every go away??

Anyhow... was thinking broccoli cheese rice sounded good, and I'm just going to justify that it's covering a vegetable food group too! Ha!

  • hahaha I like the way you think! Sure, why not! ;) It has broccoli, right?!?
  • Loading the player...
  • eh, probably not because there's not much broccoli in it...but one day (or more) without veggies won't hurt you or the baby.  There's definitely days I don't get veggies.

  • Absolutely! As a matter of fact, I would say you hit 3 of the food groups---grain, vegetable, and dairy! Wink

  • I am so confused is this something you can order premade? Because otherwise Brocolli is definitely a veggie.

  • definitely if it makes you feel better! I ate grilled cheese sandwiches (and almost nothing else) for 10 weeks and my OB didn't care. When you feel crappy, you get the go ahead to eat what you want!
  • There's broccoli in it... you'll be fine :)  I've given in to many cravings that I shouldn't.  And broccoli rice casserole is one of my faves.

  • Well, as I see it you have a grain, some dairy and a little bit of veggies. If you have broccoli at home why not steam it and add some more? If that is all you can eat, go for it. Its better than no food at all.
