Ok moms so i've read that the chances of a di/di twin being identical are 1 in 9 chances. Are your twins identical despite being di/di? Just curious to know the probability of the di/di twins on this board

mine are fraternal - we always assumed they would be b/c i did IUI and knew there were 2 mature follies the day of IUI.

Well we aren't 100% sure- but I'm assuming they are frats since my Grandma had frats 45 years ago. Plus they look completely different to me!

I had di/di twins on Clomid, so everyone assumed they were fraternal. But we had them DNA tested and it showed they were identical.

I've been wanting to know this too! I've got spontaneous di/di girls. Most of my family things they will be fraternal. My Peri did mention that the membrane between them is super thin though. I guess I will have to wait a few more weeks and see!!!

We were 99% sure they were fraternal but did the zygosity test just for fun. We did IVF and put in 2 embryos and got 2 babies. Our RE said that the chances were much better that both took than the chances of one splitting. Plus, the boys looks totally different, so it was highly unlikely they were ID.

Out of the 15 markers they looked at, the boys only matched on 5! So they're definitely fraternal!
