One baby with the hiccups a LOT more than the other....

I'm amused by how often Baby A seems to get the hiccups.  I know it's him because he's so low, and Baby B is higher up and transverse.  I've never noticed B to have the hiccups yet, but A seems to get them almost every day, sometimes twice a day!  Is this normal?  it's interesting!

Re: One baby with the hiccups a LOT more than the other....

  • Riley (also Baby A) got hiccups at least once a day in the womb.  I think I felt Nathan get them maybe twice my whole pregnancy.  To this day Riley gets hiccups all the time, and Nathan almost never does.  I can remember a total of 3 times his entire outside life when he's had them, whereas she ends up with them 2-3 times a week at least.
  • Mine have been like that too, although they both seemed to stop having them as often around 30 weeks. I always wonder if I just feel Baby A's hiccups and kicks more, or if he's really that much more active than Baby B.

  • My one daughter (Baby A) would get hiccups 4-5 times a day, whereas my other daughter only got them a handful of times the entire pregnancy. When they were born, we laughed because we knew we didn't get Baby A and B mixed up since my one daughter would hiccup all the time in the NICU.
