June 2011 Moms

back from the OB

1) Apparently I have an anterior placenta, which no one told me about at the anatomy scan which may explain why i do not feel as much movement as so many of you - though i feel some.  It would have been nice if they mentioned it

2) They say i put on 9 pounds between my appointments and that is not good.  I told them that I thought that their scale measured me wrong last time - had me down 5 pounds.  So overall I have only put on 4 pounds and I was still read the riot act.  Annoying

Re: back from the OB

  • I'm sorry. We so look forward to these visits to "check in" with the baby and when they turn out negative, it puts such a damper on things. I know how you are feeling...hang in there! At least, hopefully, baby is doing OK?

  • I was just told at this anatomy scan i had an anterior placenta as well and i think the only reason she told me was because i asked when MH would be able to feel the baby.

Thats so strange about the 4lbs! I gained 4 as well and i asked my dr if it was ok she said it was totally fine actually a little under what most woman gain!

  • the appointment was actually fine - i was just thinking that it was strange that the total gain was only 4 pounds since i have been pregnant.  I just need to up my cardio and lower the intensity they said
