P'land peps that use Dr. G

Do you  wait forever to see her?  I realize things come up but the last two out of three times we've waited about 45 min(an hour yesterday)to see her.  Our apt was at 2 and I don't think we left till almost 3.

The first time we waited 15-20 min.  It irks me even more that about 10 min before we go back someone is called for her and then AS we are going back 1 other is called with us.

  • We see Dr Wilber at the same practice and always have to wait at least 30-45 minutes, even when the waiting room is empty. That's my only complaint about their practice!

  • I don't use G, but in the Med center, I always felt like I was waiting forever, too.  Sucked, b/c usually those last appts you go to before baby are just like 10 minute "checks" and you are done.  Sucks to wait 45 minutes for those 10 minutes.  Can you schedule for a morning appt?  Best to get there as a first patient so the late patients during the day don't slow you down.

ETA:  ok - i'm an idiot, and thought Dr. G was an OB/GYN (hence me mentioning PG appts).  Now that I realize that she is a pedi - just want to say that I still wait at the pedi's office.  ;-)  Usually it's not too long, though - maybe 30 minutes max, but then I feel like I am in the patient room for awhile, sometimes.  They probably have "busy days" (Monday/Friday) - can you ask which day/time is usually their slowest, then try to book, then?

  • May I add salt to your wound and say that is why I love our Dr? It's just her in the practice and she has a strict late policy (if you are more than 15 minutes late she will not see you so you have to reschedule). I've never waited more than 5 minutes for me or DD. And usually we are the only people in the waiting room (only twice has there been someone else there) so no nasty germs to be spread. Love her! Almond is first on my list to refer if Dr. K should ever start to take more patients but for a small fee (say some of your fabulous cooking) I may put you on the list as well. Almond had to give me her first born...well, by way of marriage to my daughter but whatever.

I'll take your offer if you somehow train Spike to change diapers too...

I couldn't remember how old your DS was - and was thinking your 6 week appt was coming up soon!  :-)  (don't worry - you don't have to tell DH that she cleared you for sex.  lol)

I best be first on that list.  I call her every week.

  • I don't usually have to wait in the waiting room for her, but do sometimes get stuck in a room for way longer than I'd like.  It wasn't as bad when Maddie was a baby but I think she didn't have so many patients then either.

A lot of it has to do with how the front desk is run, and has nothing to do with Dr. G.  That is what is unfortunately.  I like that late policy!
