whats with all the shorthand?

What do all the short hand  mean? DS DH ect? I am lost! I noticed others today but could not figure them out someone please help me I'm sure once i read the meaning i will be like "ohhhh yea what was so hard about that?" but EVERYONE uses so much shorthand when they post stuff on here its hard to keep up when your out of the loop!

DH - Dear husband

DD - Dear Daughter

DS - Dear Son

I don't know which other ones you want to know, but there is a glossary that shows you what the shorthand means.
