is it normal
Is it normal for the Dr. to just do blood work say your not ovulating and your progesterone is low and prescribe femara and do no ultrasounds or anything else?
TTC since April 2009
3 rounds of Femara and Metformin= BFN
HSG all clear and SA perfect
Unexplained IF
IUI #1 May Femara and Ovidrel=BFN

In my opinion too many Dr's prescribe you stuff and dont do the proper monitoring. I would make an appt with an RE to get proper testing before Femera. If you have blocked tubes then the medicine is only going to be a waste.
I would call an RE in your area. HTH
Ditto PP. I wish I would have listened to that advice before letting my OB/GYN keep prescribing Clomid. I O'd 3 out of 7 times on it with them and when I'd had enough and wanted an RE referral they still fought with me to do a few more rounds of it.
Go to an RE, get all the testing you need and make sure you're monitored throughout medicated cycles.
