party favors

My DS 4th birthday is this weekend at the bowling alley.  I am looking for some fun ideas for favors.  I am not a huge fan of giving or receiving goody bags so I typically try and do something different.  Last year we had a baseball party and I made tee-shirts for all the kids with their names on the back.  They received the shirt and a baseball water bottle for the party.  Any suggestions for this years favor?

Re: party favors

  • Our is this weekend as well and bowling!  I did a Scholastic book about winter for each kid. I got them from DD's book orders so they were $1 each but you could find cheap books anywhere.  Parents love this gift.  I have also done straw cups from teh Disney Store, coloring books and crayons. A friend was going to do bowling shirts if she did a bowling party.
  • Maybe something like this? https://www.amazon.com/bowling-pin-sipper-cups-straws/dp/B002AX449S

I don't like goody bags either so I always try to do a favor that goes with the party theme.

  • I like the straws idea posted above.

I'm not a fan of goody bags full of junk. I typically make cookies in the theme of the party for the goody bags. For my daughter's 4th we did a 'where the wild things are' party and I made cookies in the shape of crowns, along with Wild Things magnets I made. For this year she had a music party, so I made music note cookies. I figure if I can contribute less to someone else's junk toy collection, then that was a good thing. ;)

  • I did straw cups from the disney store two years ago and this year did a bag of dress up clothes, the kids loved them and so did the parents.
  • books

little board puzzles (found some super cute ones, one year at target $1 section)

this year I printed out ariel color pages (i typed HAPPY BIRTHDAY BENTLIE, THANK YOU FOR COMING, and several other sayings on all different pictures) and gave colors with them..
