Tuesday Shredding Check In

Day 2...ouch.  Day 2 was a bit harder than day 1 due to a little soreness in my thighs and calves.  It also seemed like those cardio sections were longer today...

Even though it was a bit tough, I feel fantastic now that I am done.  I  just keep telling myself during the whole thing..."get it together, 20 minutes is not a long time!" 

Thanks to all those who checked in yesterday.  Hearing from those that are ahead gives me the sense that this can be done!  Good luck today!

  • Well today is day 6 and I definitely noticed a difference! I lasted through everything except the second set of pushups and that was only because DD needed her toy to play music and was fussing. My endurance isuch higher and I got my butt kicks to go higher too (touching my butt often!). Never though I would say this but today almost seemed easy... almost!
    SAHM to the sweetest little girl and boy... I love my job!

  • Onto day 13. Definately easier. I feel slimmer in the waist but it doesn't show it yet on the measuring tape. Gotta keep pushing ahead!

  • The man hand's comment has my interest peaked.  That will motivate me to get out of bed and get to that cool down.  As for how long to stay on Levels...I am going to see how well I am doing.  I would like to move up only if I can do everything but those push ups seem out of reach.  I will try to stay optimistic and evaluate after Day 10.
  • So yesterday I also started doing the 30 day shred without even knowing there was a group on here doing it also. So funny. But after my workout yesterday I found out I am pregnant with my second baby.

    I was wondering if anyone has any advice on me continuing that workout due to all the jumping?

    I WOULD NOT continue this workout without asking your doctor. There are so many ab moves that would concern me. There are a lot of prenatal workout DVD's that can help you stay in shape.

  • I started today! And it;s just as hard as I remembered. yowzer. The push ups absolutely kill me. I am doing "girl push ups" and I still can't even get through one set. I have toothpicks for arms.

    But felt good to do it! We'll see how I feel in the morning...

     First off, congrats!!

    Second off, I would not continue with it. If you had been doing it for awhile it probably would be ok, but I think it would be too hard on your body right now to start.

    Ask your dr. for his/her opinion. Congrats again!

  • Day 2 done!!! Feels good BUT....

    Ok my daughter is 2 months old now and my bladder is still so weak! The cardio is killer if you know what I mean!!

    When does it get better? Help me!!!

  • I did day 2 before work this morning and it went pretty well--I wasn't as sore as after Day 1 the first time I tried it but I have a feeling I'll be more sore tomorrow...feeling it already!
  • I finished day 9 today.. still level 1 but I've got some residual soreness in my calves and thighs so I'm afraid to advance. The ab exercises are getting easier for me which is great because that last minute is what killed me the first few days.

    This is an awesome program though and I'm really glad I got it!

    Just lurking on this board - I agree that 30 day shred is a little intense for pregnancy. I just did the Summer Sanders prenatal dvd, I'm in my 2nd trimester, and it was great. I loved all of the arm & leg exercises. If you have a treadmill you can walk at an incline for a good, safe cardio session or eliptical.

    Great job with this workout, ladies, I used to do it pre-pregnancy. It's very intense. I didn't like doing the same workout day after day, so I found myself doing level 1, then level 2 and alternating for awhile. When I felt really motivated, I tried level 3. Don't be scared of the levels, you can do it!
