2 weeks... :(

For those of you who don't already know, I am a nanny.  So my boss' mother is pretty sick and is moving in with her because she doesn't have insurance and someone needs to look after her.  Sounds like she is staying indefinitely...  So my boss and I were talking today and she told me if she stays longer than two weeks that it isn't justifiable to pay me when her mother can watch the girls during the day.  She can't work and needs basically everything paid for so that is how they are going to work out my boss paying for everything.

I am SO sad!  I mean, it was going to happen soon anyway since our *still hopeful* move is coming up quick, but it is just so sad!  Those girls are my babies!  I feel like I am going to baby them so much this week, I can't wrap my heart around not seeing them every day.  Ugh.  Crying

Re: 2 weeks... :(

  • If the mother is THAT sick, should she be caring for the kids? I think maybe your boss might be calling you back when she realizes it's not going to be quality child care, no matter how free it is. If she's so sick she has to have someone look after HER, she definitely shouldn't be looking after kids.

  • Aww I'm sorry, that'll be so hard!  Would it be weird to visit them every once in a while?  I bet the kids would love to see you!
