What to expect at D&C F/U apt?

I am very anxious about me apt tomorrow. I have no idea what to expect. I have read about some of your f/u apts, they seem like lots of results. I don't think anything was tested from me. Would they have told me? Did you feel like your dr took time to really talk to you? I have a list of questions ready, I hope she doesn't think I am crazy.

  • She wont think that you are crazy.  There are a lot of things that you wont know about until you ask.  I think that your doctor will be expecting questions.  If they did many tests, I think she will let you know at the beginning, but I'm not to sure if they would have.

My experience went badly and we were rushed out of the office.  We didn't get any of our questions answered and it feels like we have been playing catch-up ever since.  It has been so hard.  So, I recommend you find out everything you want to know.  The piece of mind is worth the time.

I hope that everything goes well with your apt tomorrow and you get some good news!!

  • my OB did an internal exam and said things were fine physically.  The cytogenetics results weren't back yet, she called me about that a few weeks later.  Also, we did talk about when to think about trying again, what to do if I didn't get my period after a few months, and other random questions that I had.  It wasn't a bad appointment.  It was upsetting though because it just brought everything back in a way I didn't expect-- the crying that I thought I had control of...  But, I guess it's all part of the process.  Good luck!
  • I think mine was abnormally bad because my OB is horrible, but she discuessed my period, when we could try again and my pathology report. I didn't know there was going to be any testing or anything done so, it was a surprise to me that anything was done. I agree, write down your questions and make sure you get your answers.
