Nursery Vent - ETSY shop closed

So DH & I have had a horrible time picking colors we would like. We finally found a quilt we loved (aqua and black) in an ETSY shop.

I was just looking around today and decided to drool over what I hoped would be our quilt, and the girl closed her shop. I'm so bummed.

It was open yesterday, closed today. I emailed her to ask if the pre-made one she had was available, and hopefully she'll let me purchase it, otherwise I dont know what I'll do.

Probably learn to sew, cause I cannot find ANYTHING I like anywhere.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.  It does suck when you get emotionally invested (so to speak) with this kind of stuff and it doesn't work out.  Like when I don't win an ebay auction.

She may not be closed forever. Don't stress! I also have an ETSY shop, and sometimes have closed it when I was overwhelmed with orders or was going out of town.

You could also contact another seller and ask them to make something in the specific colors you are looking for. Don't be discouraged.

Did you save the picture of the quilt?  If so, you can put out an alchemy request on Etsy...people then make offers to make it for you.  I'm sure someone can find a similar fabric.

and DH wonders why i JUMP on something I love at a good price. This is exactly why. I am sure she can still do your order. I also have an ETSY shop and close it out when I am too busy to work on things but I always will make an extra effort for someone. Even if it takes me longer than I would normally like.

Well I thought it was a little early to order, and was going to wait till the end of the month. I'm kicking myself.

Her vacation message says she is closed indefinitely, but I hope she'll give me the one she took pictures of. Luckily, I did save a picture of it.

This exactly, I have used alchemy to get many things made. I also have had to close my shop a few times due to vacations, my wedding, etc. She may not be gone forever, and through alchemy someone may have an idea for something you like even better.
