Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Another question

This might be directed for those of you who have suffered two losses.  My 1st m/c was terrible.  I was in pain, crying, throwing up, sweating, etc.  I was 7w6d.  This time around, I would have been 5w3d today.  The spotting started brown yesterday and is red today like a typical period color.  I have some cramping where I had to take some advil but nothing compared to last m/c.  I am passing a ton of little clots but nothing larger than a quarter.  Does it take a couple of days?  I guess I was expecting it to all hit at once and be like my previous misarriage and be large clots.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I went for a blood draw this afternoon to see if my numbers are lowering.  I mentioned that I was concerned that my body might not be passing it naturally like it should but that it was trying.  They just said to wait and see what my levels were at tomorrow and we'll go from there.

Re: Another question

  • I think it is differeny for every one.  I for one am 5 weeks in and am still bleeding but have to have a D&E tomorrow because my levels ARE going back up and my body hasnt passed everything amongst many other complications.  I had a lot of very large clots and tissue I think it takes a while for everything to pass.  I am so sorry for your loss and hope everything passes as quickly and painlessly as possible!

  • I was 6 weeks and there most of the clots would come out when I went to the bathroom and lasted a little less than a week, you could have mistaken it for a heavy period...everyone is different I guess, hope yours goes easy, sorry for your loss...
  • Thanks ladies.  It finally started early this morning.  I think the cramps are starting to taper off a little or maybe the medicine is starting to kick in.
