Good evening ladies. I just woke up and am going to do my best to give you an update. I'm still so sleepy!
This morning started off sitting in dead stop traffic on the motorway and we were 15 mins late. That was awful, but they nurses/docs were so nice about it all. I hate to be late.
Well they took me back to get me prepped and ready- I told DH bye as they wheeled me off and sent him to do his part... My RN, she took me to empty my bladder- easy but I was a bit groggy from the valuim. Then she took me to THE room. She began to push the meds to put me out but I was still awake, so the doctor comes over and pushes another drug to put me out... still awake- they tried for about 20 mins before the doctor announces, "jamie I'm sorry- this is a timed matter and we gotta move. You're just gonna have to be awake... and so I WAS. It hurt so badly, I begged them to stop.
He was able to get "THE 3" off of my left that we knew were there, but then when he went to the right side, my nurse had to get up on the bed and push on my belly to help him. OUCH! He began to try to extract one but I hollered, please no more I can't take it. My blood pressure shot up and then bottomed out. I was about to pass out from the pain. The doctor said the ones he saw on the right didn't seem mature enough anyways, so there was no need to make me go on anymore. I was in for a little over an hour. And we only got 3 eggs. They were so nice and talked to me the whole time but I was so scared.
And I still am... only 3. I just wanna know what's going on at the lab right now. Were the eggs good enough, are they or did they fertilize, will any make it through for my fert report in the morning??? I'm a mess. And while I couldn't sleep at the hospital, I've done nothing but sleep all afternoon. Thanks for all of your encouragement and support! I'll update you tomorrow after I hear. ((hugs))

Re: Today was my ER (longish)
Oh Jamie-I'm so sorry you had such a tough ER!
They only need 1! Sending lots of PPV your way!
That sounds awful! I'm so sorry that you had to go through that.
I was totally out for my 1st ER and was able to work the next day, had really no pain (and they got 12 eggs). For last week's ER, I was in and out during the ER. I didn't feel pain, but could open my eyes and see what they were doing and could feel pressure. I was also totally awake when he said, "Ok, we're done, we only got 4 eggs." Weird that I was so much more alert this time. Then, I had pretty severe pain on my left side too. I think all or most of my 4 eggs were on that side and I had to take Vicodin immediately after ER. I was also still sore the next day and couldn't work due to the soreness.
It's weird that the same procedure can be so different per cycle!
