** LauraOTR ** BRU crib

We'll probably be buying a BRU crib too.  Just wondering -- do they have the crib/dresser there at the store for you to pick up the same day?  Or do you get it delivered to your house?

They did not have them in store, but I think sometimes they do (she had to check). We could have chosen to have them delivered, but we would have had to pay (I think she said $80). We decided to just pick them up when they come in, which should be 7-10 days for the crib/dresser/glider, though the nightstand is going to take 10-12 weeks.

I'm pretty sure if you order online, shipping is free. I didn't try, but that's the impression I got from looking at the page our crib was on. We didn't want to order online, though, b/c our 20% off coupons were in-store only.

Ohhh good to know! I have one...and was going to ask if they would take it even though they don't carry them instore!!

ah, ok.  Thanks for the info!  I assume the furniture comes unassembled and you have to assemble it then?  I wonder if it would fit in our car or if we'll have to have it delivered.

Well, I should say...they had the model in-store, they just didn't have any in-stock. I'm not sure what they'd do if it's something they just don't have at all in the store (online-only items). It's worth asking, though!

We thought about Baby Cache also...they had good reviews in Baby Bargains. From what they told us, the dresser comes fully assembled, but the crib does not. Both boxes are big, though, b/c the crib sides are still pretty long. Our dresser is 54" long. The only way we can pick them up is by borrowing our neighbor's pickup truck. Otherwise, we would have needed them to be delivered.

I have absolutely nothing to add to this post, but I wanted to respond because I really like that Baby Cache crib.  This way I'll have it in my saved posts  

Do they make a matching low dresser for this one?  If so, do you like it?
