6:45 elective ultrasound!

hi ladies!

We had quite a crazy weekend (baby-wise)....

Friday, while at work, I went to the bathroom and was spotting. I almost passed out from being so worried. My obgyn sent me to the hospital to confirm everything was okay... after hearing the heartbeat (149 beats/minute), having no contractions and a check of my cervix and assorted other tests, everything was fine. Scary was an understatement!

Saturday... on a whim, my DH & I decided to go for an elective ultrasound so find out the sex. Yes, we couldn't wait the 11 days... $65 and an hour later... baby would not show us the goods!!! The peanut was rolling, tossing, turning but loved to keep his/her legs closed and/or crossed!! haha.. it was funny. The tech first thought she saw a penis (and yelled "THAT'S A WIENER!") but later decided (after not seeing testicles or the penis again...) that it was 75% a girl.

She is allowing us to come back tonight to try one more time... I'm so hoping baby cooporates and shows us the goods!!

Either way, we had an amazing time seeing our little sweet potato -- he/she is getting SO BIG!!
