Snow Day!

I know several of you will find this comical considering you get feet upon feet of snow all the time, but here in Arkansas when we get four inches of snow the whole place shuts down!  And that's exactly what happened   So I get a day off work to lounge with my puppy dog and relax. Praise the Lord!!

Nice!  My aunt lives in northern Mississippi and they are shut down today also.  Ahhh a 3 day weekend!!!!  Enjoy!

Lucky! I would love a snow day but my work won't close even if there was 10 feet and everything else in the entire state is closed.

We never close here at work...we could have two feet and we would still be open. Luckily I can work from home in cases like that though...although I only live 1.5 mile from work.

no snow day for me here in south alabama.. we didn't get anything but the county above us got enought to shut everything down... Oh well... needed to go to work anyways right?

I am working from home today...seven inches here in Kansas. I bet I could've made it to the office, but...I'm not going to try too hard.

We are getting icy-rain today. Made it almost to work, got stuck on a bridge that they shut down! After sitting for almost 2 hours, I had to back down the bridge by driving in reverse down the shoulder. Back home now though  - just hoping we don't lose power. Charleston is not cut out for winter weather

Same here! I am in Tennessee.  We have at least 8 inches here.  School has been canceled today and tomorrow already. We are scheduled for a little more over the next couple of days, I think.  I wouldn't be surprised if we were out all week as we are in a rural area.  They don't have snow plows out here in the backwoods...lol.  Maybe the neighbors will bring out the tractors in a few days.

We have a snow day up here in Nebraska too! I'm estimating 6 inches already...and we're supposed to get possibly 10! I'd be okay with another snow day tomorrow

Jealous! We only get snow days when it reaches below a certain temperature (with or without the windchill), not based on how much snow falls! (And really it's only the kids in the school who get the snow day, the teachers/other staff still need to show up...so technically it's called a "paperwork" day I guess!)
