1) My dad took him (I had to work) so I don't really remember, but it wasn't more than a few hours.
2) I bought him boxer briefs. He wore them with the jock strap they told him to wear.
3) He said it wasn't too bad. He alternated a bag of frozen peas and corn all the first day, took a few tylenol (maybe ibuprofen) but was back to work the next day. He said he was talking to the nurse and joking around with the Dr. during the whole thing. Just a little discomfort really.
1. 45 minutes for everything, including paperwork.
2. He bought tighties b/c the boxer briefs didn't offer enough support. He also bought a couple of bags of frozen peas and he iced the entire first day.
3. Pain wasn't too bad at all. They offered him Lortab but he didn't need it. He just described it as sore. Not really painful.
My DH had his last April. On our 5 year wedding anniversary to be exact.
1. Took maybe an hour from walkin to walkout. (His took a little longer than usual because they didn't use enough numbing agent on both sides and they had to reshoot him with whatever they use). Plus they removed some skin tags he had down there too. (TMI I know...)
2. He wore tightie whities. He wears those anyway; he prefers them to boxers b/c he feels like they always bunch up.
3. Pain wasn't bad for him at all. He said that it was just uncomfortable or tight. I only remember him icing it a couple of times. He sat on the couch alot with a pillow over him so that the kids didn't jump on him. After the procedure we went and picked up the kids from my Grandfathers, went to Walmart (He did sit in the car with the kids) and then had friends over for dinner (because it was our anniversary).
He went to work the very next day too. He's a car salesman so he doesn't get to sit down very often (unless he's making phone calls or sitting down with the customer to write up a deal).
- tighties (colors, no white! lol) with the jock strap the second time (1st V failed)
- the second time, yes. The first time he just took the vicodin x2 days, but the second time he took it about 5 days - til they were gone. I think the dr was extra thorough the 2nd time - he was doing it free of charge - so he wanted to make sure it was really complete.
Buy some frozen peas for icing the area, plan for him to be laying around for about 2-3 days.
I didn't go with him, but it was probably 30-45 mins at the office.
My DH wore briefs with a jock strap from the office to home, but then just the briefs.
He only took some Ibuprofen and sat on a bag of frozen peas the first couple of days. Apparently, though, my DH is the only one who whined about it hurting for over a week. He said he had some pulling and tenderness at the puncture sites. He still says that occasionally when he moves a certain way, it hurts him.

1) We were probably in & out in 1-1.5 hrs
2) I think he just wore his tighties- what he normally wears
3) My DH said there was no real pain, just a feeling of "pulling" at the incision sites. I think he took ibuprofen once.
