Hey, that's why I asked! Although I just told DH and we were discussing the lack of E.T. comments to our current DS's name (he's Elliott). Maybe if we said his name slower people would make the connection more often!
DS born via c/s 11/08 and med-free GD VBAC DD 3/11!
I love both. One of my good friends is named Elliot and he was born back in 85 right after the movie... never bothered him and comes up only extremely rarely.
Oscar has a good sound with Elliot and for whatever reason I like O names.
I really like the name Elliott but as stated before, Oscar seems to old man for a baby/ little boy. Also, with Sesame Street still going strong, a child named Oscar might have a really hard time in school.
Oliver has always intrigued me and I had a very gorgeous friend who went by Ollie as an adult. -just my 2 cents.
GL! DH and I are just starting to think about names too..... so many to choose from!!!
I don't care for Oscar with Elliott. Elliott seems more sophisticated than Oscar. However, they both seem to have a slightly British flair so I suppose it could work.
Re: Another sibset
lol, I didn't mean to be snarky or anything - but that is what immediately popped into my mind.

Reading fail. lol. I quite like Elliott, but not a fan of Oscar - even on it's own Oscar seems old man'ish to me.
I think Simon would go well with Elliott if you're looking for suggestions.
