Trouble TTC

XP: 2ww

IUI 6.1 and 6.2 are officially done.  DH had great counts, decent motility.  I'll take my booster ovidrel this coming Friday and the earliest I should test will be 1/26.  That seems like forever away!  I'm not testing out the trigger this time b/c I did that last month and just about went insane.

With our experiences up to this point, I am already planning on this not working.  (I know, I know, positive thinking...)  I was talking to the nurse about when to set up our IVF consult appt, etc.  We need to decide if we want to begin IVF as soon as possible or wait until this summer.  I'm a teacher and summer would be much easier on me but at the same time we don't want to wait any longer.  If we don't put it off, that would mean setting up our IVF consult for sometime in the next 2 weeks so they can use next cycle to do all our work-up tests.

Decisions, decisions.

Anyway...Who else is in the 2ww with me?
Mr. & Mrs. UMich! July 2006! :-)

No need to apologize!  It's just to help support the luteal phase--helps increase progesterone production.

Thanks everyone for all the good luck!

  • Me! Just starting the 2ww after a surprise unmedicated O.  I'll test the 22nd or 23rd if AF doesn't show first.

  • Something else to think about if you did wait and do IVF in the summer: if it works, you''d have the baby in March which would mean you could take maternity leave the last quarter/9-weeks aand then would have the summer off too. Just something to consider in making your decision. Good luck.
  • I'm in the 2ww.  I have been fairly optimistic this cycle (very unusual for me anymore) since I've read about having an increased chance after an hsg (I had one this cycle) and since it's my first cycle on clomid.  I'm an idiot and tested today----I know better than to test this early!  Of course it was negative and my optimistic thoughts went out the window.

When I went to the dr. for CD 21 b/w, they did a beta as well.  It would only have been 8 dpo---is that too early to pick up anything?  They said they would call tomorrow with my results.

  • I'm with you in the 2ww- 6dpiui.  But mentally, I've kind of written this one off because of our numbers and am already planning on how to get the timing better for the next cycle and what to talk to my RE about in terms of meds bc I don't want to do another unmedicated IUI.  I go in for progesterone test tomorrow and I am going to talk to my RE about doing back to back IUIs next cycle if the count ends up like this one on the first IUI.
