Propel zero

Is the best drink...EVER. For about a week now I haven't been able to drink much water (I used to drink like 72+ oz a day). I was getting really nervous because I know how important it is to consume fluids while you're pregnant.

DH bought some propel at the store last night, and all they had was propel zero...a new type. I decided to give it a try when I woke up this morning...it is amazing. And...to top it all off, no morning sickness today. I was wondering if it had something to do with the propel, so I started reading the ingredients. Come to find out it has B vitamins in it, including B6.

I'll be drinking one every morning until I'm out of first tri in hopes of keeping the morning sickness at bay.

Re: Propel zero

  • I'm so glad you posted this Destined!  I had forgotten that I drank it everyday with DD #2.  It really does help with the morning sickness!  Guess I'm going to the store today.

  • That is great- I need to try it out because water just isn't making the cut lately. And anything that helps curb m/s is a plus.

PS- I saw that crazy singing lady the other day and thought of you- almost told her you said hello ;)

  • Ooh, I might have to try this. Does it have any sweeteners in it? I don't do well with those lately. I've been looking for something flavored without the sweeteners.

  • pretty sure that has aspartane in it.... you may want to check w/your doctor as many docs want you to avoid artificial sweetners during pregnancy. any "zero" drink is the same as diet.

Thanks for your advice. I was worried about this as well. The artificial sweeteners in the drink are: sucralose (spledna) and acesulfame potassium (sunett). Both seem to have the green light from the FDA to be safe for women during pregnancy.

I have been drinking regular Vitamin Water, no artificial sweeteners...it is not calorie free but is delicious and loaded with B vitamins, including B6.  Has really helped with my m/s since I started drinking it.
