Baby Names

Second Guessing DD2...

We had decided on Lucie Anne for DD2. DH has always loved the name. I like it and decided to compromise. But after talking with him we agreed to look and see if there are any better options out there that we like better. Otherwise we will stick with it.

I want something that goes well with DD Aubrey Grace. He likes traditional and classic names.

Any suggestions before I go out and buy a new baby name book???

Re: Second Guessing DD2...

  • I love Lucy (no -ie ending) and I love Anne, so I like your combo there. I'm a fan of classic names, so here are a few of my favorites: Catherine, Kathryn, Alice, Evelyn, Eleanor, Elinor, Daisy, Ruby. I also like Eloise, Margaret, Margot, Diana, Georgiana, Helena, Hope, Isla, Juliet, Julia, Gwyneth, Genevieve, Mary, Virginia, Victoria, Nora as a nickname for Eleanor/Eleanora, Penelope, Rosalind, Rosamund...

  • I love the name Lucy! (spelled this way-not a fan of your spelling because it looks too childish IMO)

  • My DD#1 is named Lucy! :) I am looking for another "older" sounding name to go with Lucy for DD#2.  I think we have decided on naming DD#2 Greta.  We are still trying to figure out the mn, but are about 99% sure on naming her Greta.

  • Lucy is a great name but I would stick to the more common "y" ending.

  • Lucy (I too prefer this spelling) is gorgeous and goes great with Aubrey.

  • Lucie is a great name.
  • I think Lucy and Aubrey sound great together.

Not sure of the Ie ending, though. Is there a reason for it?
