Question why is LO poop so hard????

So here is my story. My LO is 6 weeks and we have tried different formula and are now using soy. I have tried giving him 1oz of water between feedings. I just never had this problem with my daughter and I just don't know what to do. The doctor said as long as he's not in pain orany blood inthe poop it should be fine. I've never see a babies poop hard so young. What to you guys think?????

    check with your pedi first - but I just read today to try adding organic prune juice to his formula once or twice a day.

    That seems like a lot of water for such a young baby. Did your pedi approve that much? That is probably 5-6oz of water a day?

    DS in on Soy and we are going through the same thing, I got the gerber prune juice and put less than an ounce in a bottle with a little water 1 time a day to help him loosen up, if they get too loose stop for a couple of days. HTH! I am going to ask my pedi tomorrow about this as well.
