XP: Second period after m/c warning tmi

ok.  so i am on day three of my second period since a spontaneous twin m/c in early november around 10weeks.  the first cycle lasted a really long time and was kind of weird, so i thought this one would be normal.

but i am bleeding like a stuck pig over here. i was going through jumbo tampons every hour and a half yesterday.  so last night and today i switched to overnight super absorbency pads.  i am really surprised by this much blood, and the fact that it's so clotty.  usually i'm a really light bleeder.  is this something i should be worried about?

or just my body still working some things out?  i'm guessing this as i don't seem to have any other signs of infection.  no fever, and the cramps are pretty standard stuff. just lots and lots of bleeding.

  • I thought everything was back to normal after I stopped bleeding from my m/c at 11 weeks but my Dr. was checking my hcg levels and they were still high. I had my first AF and it was very heavy with lots of clots again and apparently this was everything cleaning out and getting rid of what was left. After that my hcg levels went back to normal.
Have you had your levels tested? there may be some retained tissue in there still.

  • I think its relatively normal to have wonky periods/cycles for a bit after a m/c.

I'm also in the midst of my second period post m/c and my body is definitely a little off still.  Aches in the ovaries when I ovulated, really sensitive b00bs when they normally aren't at all, LP was short this last cycle too...bunch of little things.

If you have concerns, definitely call your doctor and ask.
