Does anyone else have painful ovulation(Mittelschmerz)?

OK so I have been charting my cycles for 4 months. After being on BCP for a year. Starting around Day 10 I have pain on one side or the other and even sometimes both around my ovarys. The only thing I cant figure out is it last on and off until approximatly day 16. I have not used OPK's yet just becasue of the expense. My CM is always the egg whites around day 14 or 15. I have not done the basal body temp. Tried to in the begining and could never remember before I got out of bed. Smile

My cycles have been 30 day cycles for the past 3 months. Except this last month I had a chemical pregnancy at 4 weeks and 6 days. So I started my period on day 35. The first month I had the pain it really worried me, I even went to the doctor to make sure I didnt have a cyst on one of my ovaries but everything was fine and she told it was more than likely just mittelscherz pain.

Just wondering if anyone else out there has this pain and if it last that long. Everything that I have read says its only supposed to last for 24 to 48 hrs.

Before m/c, I never paid attention to this. For my 2 cycles post m/c, I had really bad ovulation pain for 3days (it was a localized lower abdomenal pain). For the 3rd and 4th cycle post m/c, I had ovulation pain, but it was not too bad and only lasted for a day.

Last cycle I had a very bloated pain that hurt mainly on my right side, but it was so intense that it hurt all over my midsection. Due to my temps, CBEFM, OPKs and CM I knew I was probably ovulating. FWP time sucked that night. I think it lasted for atleast 12 hours of lots of pain, and 24 hours of dull pain.

ETA: I should add I hadn't ovulated in 6 months. I think the pain was due to that.

I never had ovulation pain before the M/C but for the past two cycles, I have. They last for several days. My doc said it's normal for things to be weird the first cycle but she didn't expect the pain to continue in subsequent cycles. Turns out she was wrong but as long as I keep ovulating, I'm not going to be too concerned.

I never had O pain until after my first m/c - its really sharp on the right side and can go back and forth for days. It sucks but at least its another clue I'm Oing.

Sometimes I get a sort of sharp twinge on one side or the other where the ovary would be. Happens once or twice on a given day and then is gone. Have only had this happen a few times in my year off the pill. Usually would roughly coincide with my crosshairs for charting (wasn't using OPKs any of those months).

This past month was different. Dull ache on both sides where the ovaries are and it coincided with my OPK coming up positive. I also had some other unusual symptoms in the 2ww too. Pretty sure its my body sorting itself out after the m/c still (2nd cycle post m/c).

I get it every month right around ovulation and its almost always on one side or the other. This month it was a little wonky, but I had just had gallbladder surgery so I'm guessing that's why.

I only have O pain when I'm off BCP. Mine lasts for about a day and usually alternates sides with each cycle. The pain is kinda like a centralized cramp that hurts on and off the whole day.

Boy am I glad I'm not the only one!!! I actually thought I was starting AF due to being so bloated and the unbearable achiness and pains on either side. After looking at my calendar, I realize it must be O. I had pain before, but very dull. When I got pregnant the first time it was due to me feeling the pain and telling DH I was pretty sure I was O'ing and we BD and it happened. But now this is only my 2nd cycle since c-section...and since the c-section the O and AF pain is incredibly intense...specifically O. I get super tender in the lower abdomen, especially where the incision is, and my ovaries always feel inflamed. I can't even sleep on my stomach comfortably.
