First off, I have been MIA, but I have been keeping up with the board! My laptop has been super slow and we got an iPad for Christmas, but for some reason it won't let me write or respond to posts on the bump. But I have been reading
Now on to why I am stressing out... I have my anatomy scan on Monday, which I have been anxiously waiting for and I have had the countdown going since I scheduled it. I live in upstate South Carolina, and apparently we are supposed to be hit with a bad snowstorm Sunday night through Monday night. Around here, if it even snows an inch, everything shuts down, including doctor's offices. I am so worried that I won't be able to go to my appt Monday due to the weather. I know it will get done soon enough even if it doesn't happen on Monday, but I have been waiting for this day and even adding a few more days would drive me crazy. Plus, DH and I both took time off work for this appt and I would hate to have to take more time off. I will definitely be doing the "no snow dance" Sunday night!!
Re: Stressing out!
Thanks! I am a teacher so I can take another personal day if I need to, but I just feel bad. DH is a college basketball coach so we specifically scheduled this appt before school is back in session because in addition to coaching, he also teaches classes. It is not nearly as easy for him to get time off since he is right in the middle of basketball season. School starts back this week for him, he is already back to practice, and games start up back again this week too. So, we will be able to get time off, it will just be harder to find a time that works for him. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though!
Hopefully the storm will be a bust! On Long Island yesterday we hardly had even an inch, and nothing that really stuck to the roadways.
Good luck! My anatomy scan is Wednesday! Can't wait to see the baby!
2 weeks?!? I seriously think I would cry. Does that make me pathetic?
And by the way, your response on my ipad post worked!! It worked for my ipod too. Thanks so much! And thanks Samara too!
Around here, even if we only got an inch everything would be shut down and milk and bread would be sold out at all of the grocery stores. I grew up in Cleveland, so it always makes me laugh to see how people respond to snow in the south. Although I will not be laughing if it happens this time!!!
We had already had 25" of snow the day of my NT scan, and it was still snowing when I called the hospital to make sure they had u/s techs in. They did, and we ventured out.
It's amusing to see the difference in how different places handle snow.
I was in San Antonio last November for work, and they had road closures for ONE inch of snow.
By mid-day the day after my NT scan, we'd totaled to about 55" of snow, and the city FINALLY started shutting down.

I am in TN and I am guessing we are getting the weather now that you are supposed to get tomorrow. If it makes you feel better we only got a dusting overnight. No rain or sleet, just a few flakes.
Good luck on Monday! Our anatomy scan is Friday!!
