Blighted Ovum

So on November 19th my DH and i found out i had what is called a blighted ovum...i had a d&c the day before thanksgiving. I got my first normal period on Dec 20 which is pretty cool i guess my body went right back to normal because that is the day i usually start around every month...anyways I had one doctor tell me i needed to wait two to three cycles before trying again, but my doctor that preformed the d&c and a second doctor told me i didnt need to wait...needless to say my husband an i have been trying fingers crossed...anyways my question for everyone is how long did it take you to get pregnant after a blighted ovum or d&c?! thanks so much

I had a blighted ovum in August. I talked to my midwife who said giving your body a chance to heal and giving your hormones a chance to go back to normal is a good thing.  But you can really safely start trying after your first regular cycle.  She had me keep up with the prenate's even after the blighted ovum.

Our stories are very similar. I'm sorry that we've had to go through this. I don't really have any information. I'm on CD1 of my first AF post d/e. You'd probably get more info at the PGAL board. Good luck.

My doctor told me I had a blighted ovum but never had a miscarriage and got pregnant right away? It's a little confusing for me on what exactly happened, but I got pregnant right away again. Which is great because I didn't learn the bad news until after I found out I was pregnant and had a dating ultrasound to confirm date and saw a heartbeat, allowing me to concentrate on a so far healthy pregnancy, but I still worry about chromosomal abnormalities.

i don't know if that's normal or not. Or if the doctor was all that accurate. But it's what they're saying.
