Need encouraging stories for a friend...dialating at 20w

Hi Ladies!  I just got a text from my sweet neighbor, who is currently 20w with twins.  She found out today that she's 2cm, so they transfered her via ambulance to the hospital, and are hoping to do a cerclage.  She is obviously completely flipped out, and I just can't stop thinking about her/praying for her.  Does anyone have any positive stories about dialating this early?  I'd love to be able to share them with her.

[As an aside, she had to do multiple rounds of IVF with many complications, one mc, etc., to get to this point...I just wish everything was smooth-sailing for her!!]

Multiples are unique in many ways, but I was found to be 2 cm dilated at my DS's 20 week ultrasound which actually occurred at @21 weeks.  I had an emergency  rescue cerclage, 2 weeks of hospital bedrest with I.V. antibiotics, and 12 weeks of strict bedrest at home with P17 shots on board.  I had false labor at just past 34 weeks, so the cerclage came out in L&D, and DS arrived at 35 weeks and 6 days.  Every week in the oven was a celebration.  DS had a few days in a Special Care Nursery, and came home.  I am sending prayers your way!

I hope that she is able to get a rescue cerclage!! 

A friend of mine was 1 cm at 21 weeks and made it to term with a rescue cerclage.  She was on bedrest for part of that time, but she delivered a perfect, healthy little baby.

I was dialated to 1 cm and 80% effaced at 21 weeks.  I had an emergency cerclage placed and was started on magnesium for 2 days to stop the contractions.  I stopped contracting until about 26 weeks when I started again (every 3-8 minutes), but my cervix never changed.  My cerclage came out after my scheduled C-section at 34 weeks.
