So by 12:30 I still had no call from the supervisor so I called the office myself and asked to speak with the office manager or the supervisor. The receptionist was very nice and put me right through to the manager. I explained to her what happened, how the tech was rude and dismissive (she didn't even give us her name); she was very understanding and said I had every right to be upset. I told her we didn't appreciate making me wait 45 minutes with a full bladder, thinking I was getting the study, only to be told two second into the "appointment" that I was too early. She agreed that it should have been caught by scheduling and at the very least by the receptionist who checked me in last night. I completely understand if they instituted qualifications for the study, obviously being far enough along, but I needed to be informed of such things.
The kicker though is she knew nothing about it. She was going to speak with the supervisor for the techs and either she or the supervisor would call me back. I feel like there's nothing more they can do for me but didn't want to be rude to her because she was making an attempt to rectify the situation.
In the meantime, I re-scheduled with another office for the scan but they can only fit me in the day of my 20 week appointment. I'm taking a half day but my H most likely won't be able to bet granted leave yet to make the appointment.
Re: Update to Anatomy Scan Rant
Glad to hear the manager seems to be doing something about it or at least was concerned that you went through that! I hope your husband can make it to the rescheduled anatomy scan!
Edited for grammar
I have to say, good for you for standing up for yourself! I am impressed. I am such a push-over sometimes, and I just get mad and upset and keep it all in because I don't want to ruffle feathers and I'm too non-confrontational- which I HATE about myself.
I read your previous post and then this one and I was thinking to myself, "That's what I should do too when someone so blatantly messes up and screws me over". Kudos!
HI!
I just have to ask why you are told to come in to the u/s with a full bladder?
In Sweden we have no such "rules" and the u/s appointments goes great anyway
